August 6, 2020 Isaiah 43:18-19 - Laura Harris

Like many despite my faith I have struggled with blue feelings and isolation during this time. I get angry at times, because we (as a nation) cannot all come together to agree to do what is in the best interest of our people. Time and time again (pandemic, schools moving to online, riots, racial tensions…) I am reminded of the fact that so much is out of my control. While it may surprise me it does not surprise God.

My prayer has moved to, God what can I do to help? What can I be doing now while I isolate that will further Your Kingdom? Help me not to fear or be angry but to move as You would like me to move.

This morning I awoke and was blessed to watch the sun rise. I could only watch in awe… then that still small voice reminded me I am about to do a new thing….

"Do not remember the former things,

Or ponder the things of the past.

Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing.

Now it will spring forth;

Will you not be aware of it?

I will even put a road in the wilderness,

Rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18-19

Our relationship seeking, loving God is working! Be praising Him despite what we see or feel.

He tells us not to dwell on things of the past, but look forward to what is coming.

I pray this finds you and yours well and trusting in our Lord!
